Referral terms
These terms apply when you join the LocalPage referral program. They are an agreement between you and [company name], which runs LocalPage (“LocalPage”, “we”), and they add to our terms of service.
1. What you earn
- When someone opens LocalPage through your referral link and creates a new account, they become your referred builder.
- For each payment a referred builder makes for a LocalPage plan, you earn 50% of the amount they actually paid, after discounts and excluding tax (the “commission”).
- You earn commissions on payments made within 12 months of the referred builder’s first payment. After that, no further commissions are earned for that builder.
- Payments that clients make to builders through LocalPage Billing do not earn commissions.
2. When a referral counts
- Your link is remembered in the visitor’s browser for 60 days. If they clicked links from more than one person, the first link counts.
- Only new accounts count, created no more than a few weeks before they are linked to you, that have never paid for LocalPage before.
- You cannot refer yourself, an account you control, or a business you own. We may refuse or reverse commissions where we reasonably believe this rule was broken.
3. Holding period, refunds and chargebacks
Each commission is held for 30 days after the payment. If a payment is refunded or disputed, the matching share of its commission is taken back, including from a commission already paid out, by deducting it from your next payouts. If a dispute is decided in our favour, the commission is restored.
4. Payouts
- Commissions are paid to your payout account, set up through our payments provider, Stripe. Payout accounts can be held in the European Union and the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States and Canada.
- We pay automatically once at least €50 (or the equivalent in another currency) is ready. Amounts below that carry over.
- You are responsible for any taxes on your commissions and for declaring them where you pay tax. Where the law requires it, we or Stripe may report payments to tax authorities and ask you for tax details.
5. How you may promote LocalPage
- Be honest. Do not promise earnings, results or features LocalPage does not offer, and do not present yourself as LocalPage or as acting for us.
- No spam: do not send unsolicited bulk messages, and follow the advertising and consumer protection laws that apply to you, including disclosing that you earn a commission.
- Do not bid on “LocalPage” as a search ad keyword, or use our name or logo in domain names, social accounts or ads that could be mistaken for ours.
6. Changes and ending
We may change the program or these terms, or end the program, with at least 30 days’ notice by email. Commissions already earned under the previous terms are still paid. We may pause or end your participation immediately if you break these terms; commissions earned through a breach are not paid. You may leave at any time by contacting us at [contact email].
